Core Rig 600 Model

YGQY-600

1. Direct-drive rotary system via hydraulic motor, with decoupled control of torque and bit pressure: The hydraulic motor drives the power head directly, allowing for independent control of output torque and axial bit pressure. This enables rapid penetration through soft strata and stable, controlled drilling through hard formations, preventing bit chipping or drill rod bending caused by the drill becoming "stuck" or overloaded.
2. Wireline inner-tube retrieval mechanism, allowing for core recovery without removing the drill string: Once the core is collected in the inner tube, a retrieval spear—lowered via a wireline—is used to bring the inner tube to the surface. The outer tube and the rest of the drill string remain in the borehole, eliminating the need to pull the entire drill string out of the hole.
3. Modular crawler undercarriage, designed for disassembly and transport: The machine is divided into separate components—including the undercarriage, power unit, and mast—with the largest piece sized to fit on a standard truck. Upon arrival at the site, the unit can self-level using hydraulic outriggers and erect its own mast, requiring no external crane.

Product Description:
Choosing this fully hydraulic wireline core drill rig means gaining three core capabilities in a single machine: infinitely variable-speed top-drive drilling, wireline coring without the need to pull the drill string, and self-propelled, track-mounted positioning. Compared to traditional vertical-spindle drill rigs, it eliminates the downtime associated with frequent tripping (raising and lowering) of drill rods, allowing for longer core runs per cycle. It also cuts down on mobilization costs—such as the need for cranes or large crews for setup—by enabling the rig to travel and position itself independently, even in hilly or mountainous terrain. Furthermore, it removes the tedious process of manually adjusting parameters when encountering different geological formations, as the hydraulic motor automatically optimizes rotational speed and feed pressure in real time.

Product Features:
1. Significant reduction in non-drilling activities: Minimizing time spent on non-advancing tasks—such as hoisting the drill string, adding drill rods, and hole cleaning—within a single drilling cycle shortens the total duration for completing a borehole. Wireline coring streamlines the core-retrieval process into just three steps: lowering the wireline, retrieving the core barrel, and redeploying the assembly; the deeper the hole, the greater the efficiency gains.
2. Reduced abnormal wear on drill bits and rods: Feed pressure can be precisely controlled, preventing the inconsistent pressure—and resulting uneven bit wear—often seen with mechanical feed systems. With thin-walled, high-strength drill rods, wear is concentrated at the joints rather than the rod bodies, leading to lower drilling tool costs per meter drilled.
3. Continuous operation with a three-person crew: Centralized controls allow a three-person team—an operator, an assistant, and a recorder—to manage all drilling operations. Since all parameters are displayed via instrumentation, new personnel can quickly become proficient, mitigating the risk of operational downtime due to staff turnover.
4. Readily available standard parts and multi-functional versatility: Hydraulic components and seals are selected based on universal specifications, ensuring that replacements can often be sourced locally, even for projects in remote areas. Furthermore, the same drill rig can be configured with different tool assemblies to handle both coring and full-hole drilling, maximizing equipment utilization and minimizing idle time.

Application Scenarios:
Most Economical: Ideal for grid-based exploration in mining areas, involving continuous core-drilling boreholes 300–600 meters deep. The high density of drill sites and moderate depth of individual holes allow for the efficient amortization of rig-relocation time and labor costs.
Highly Suitable: Well-suited for deep-hole drilling and strata-control investigations in engineering projects—such as those for dam sites, tunnel alignments, or the foundations of large-scale bridges. High-quality core recovery directly minimizes the need for design revisions, effectively saving costs that would otherwise be incurred from rework.
Specific Operating Conditions: Suitable for challenging environments—such as mountainous, forested, or agricultural areas with limited access or restricted space—as well as environmentally sensitive zones where land use is constrained and the excavation of large mud pits is impractical.
Selection Guidance: If your requirements primarily involve shallow holes (under 100 meters) in a dense grid pattern, or if the objective is to drill water wells or large-diameter boreholes, this rig is neither cost-effective nor appropriately specified. In such cases, a more lightweight drill rig or a dedicated water-well drilling rig would be a better choice. Being transparent about these requirements from the outset is far more efficient than attempting to take on a project for which the equipment is ill-suited.
